We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our journey – the 60th Anniversary of the Cody KOA Campground! Since its inception in 1964, Cody KOA has become an exceptional destination, offering outstanding amenities and unforgettable experiences for travelers and families.
Cody KOA holds a special place in our hearts as the very first KOA franchise in the country, founded on June 7, 1964. Acquired in 1995, this iconic campground has become a shining example of our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
What sets Cody KOA apart is our dedication to continual investment and improvement. From its early days, Cody KOA has transformed into a destination park in a high-demand area, offering deluxe RV sites (up to 100 ft), deluxe cabins, two swimming pools, activity-driven areas, and even gem mining.
Next summer, the campground will feature Paw Pen Sites, a first in our KOA system, offering private, fenced-in pet areas as part of the camping experience. Additionally, a pet playground with obstacles, a new facade to the main office building, and other upgrades will ensure that Cody KOA remains at the forefront of the outdoor hospitality industry.
Guests can immerse themselves in the local culture with easy access to historic attractions. For those seeking an iconic experience, Cody KOA proudly offers shuttle bus services to the Cody Rodeo, a true Western tradition. This campground is also fully equipped and ideally located for Prevosts, Airstream, retiree rallies, and more, making it a hub for travelers seeking adventure and relaxation.
Over the years, Cody KOA has hosted renowned figures like Carli Lloyd of the U.S. women’s national soccer team and the popular country band Lonestar.
