We are excited to announce a milestone that is close to our hearts – the 50-year anniversary of Recreational Adventures Company (RAC). To commemorate this special occasion and give back to the community that has supported us throughout the years, we will be hosting a free community social event at the Mount Rushmore KOA Resort at Palmer Gulch on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 6 to 9 p.m.
As part of our celebration, we are proud to announce a donation of $50,000 to the Hill City Community Foundation. This donation is our way of saying thank you to the community and supporting the incredible work of the foundation.
The event will take place in the Group Tent facility at the Mount Rushmore KOA at Palmer Gulch near the rodeo grounds. It is free for the entire community and will feature catered appetizers, drinks, and live music by The Lonely Rangers, who will be performing their unique blend of Black Hills cowboy rock music.
The Mount Rushmore Resort at Palmer Gulch has a rich history of serving guests. Originally purchased in 1925 to develop a country club, the resort has evolved into a destination full of great RV and tent camping sites, camping and deluxe cabins. Today, the Mount Rushmore KOA Resort at Palmer Gulch is made up of two great facilities for travelers – The Mount Rushmore Lodge and the Mount Rushmore KOA, which has earned “resort” status from KOA.
