Rapid City / Black Hills KOA celebrated the completion of its new General Store and Registration Building with an open house and ribbon cutting on May 28, welcoming KOA representatives, community members, campground guests and Rapid City leadership to the property.
The event marked an important milestone for the campground and gave attendees an opportunity to explore the new facility, tour the property and connect with others in the community. Guests enjoyed food, drinks and a first look at the building, which is now open to support an enhanced arrival and guest experience at the campground.
Kent Cutler, president of Recreational Adventures Company (RAC), cut the ribbon during the celebration.
“Events like this are about more than opening a new building. They’re about recognizing the people, partnerships and continued investment that help move our properties forward,” Cutler said. “At RAC, we’re always looking for ways to improve the guest experience while supporting the long-term success of each campground. This project is a great example of that commitment at Rapid City / Black Hills KOA.”
The new facility brings several guest services into one modern, welcoming space. Inside, campers will find the registration area, a general store and a gift shop stocked with groceries, camping supplies, apparel, pool essentials and other convenient items for their stay.
The investment reflects RAC’s continued focus on thoughtful property improvements across its portfolio, with upgrades designed to create a more comfortable, convenient and memorable experience for guests.
